Greetings!
Welcome to 4th Grade at Mrs. Mac’s Shining Stars! We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us. This will be my 6th year at Mrs. Mac’s and my 14th year as an educator. I consider myself to be very blessed to be a part of such a magnificent school, amazing students, and involved and interested parents.
I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and I have been teaching for 14 years. I have three amazing children, Hannah 13, Kaya 10, and Luke 6 who are all Shining Stars graduates! My husband Andrew is also a teacher and coach at Georgetown High School. They all keep me very busy, but in my free time I enjoy running, watching Longhorn Football, and playing the piano.
This year I am blessed to have a wonderful co teacher, Ms. Jennifer Stoops. I will be your child’s homeroom teacher, as well as Math, Science, and Writing. Ms. Stoops will be teaching Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and fulfilling learning experience in the classroom. I will also need your help from time to time. We both need to be partners in the learning process. I ask that you please help encourage your child to complete their daily assignments on time and to study for quizzes and tests when necessary. I will do my best to keep you informed of our assignments and subjects covered in class. I know that with your help we are going to have a very successful year!
Thank you for your continued trust and faith in Mrs. Mac's Shining Stars!

even when he is old he will not depart from it.
